Movies, Movies, Movies

I'm not talking about Marsha here because I am currently without television programing. So, due to the lag in television entertainment we are watching movies, and a lot of them. I am not normally a movie person. I simply do not have the attention span. However, since we continue to watch the same movies over, and over, and over, and over, and over again I can handle it. For your reading enjoyment, I will list those that are heavy on the rotation.

1. Napoleon Dynamite. I believe it is a love it or hate it. I fall on the LOVE
it side. I laugh every time I watch this movie. I quote lines out this movie and different ones all the time.
Shocks, pegs, lucky.
Make yourself a danged que-sa-dilla.
Ughhhhhhhhhhhh.
Sweet.
I don't even have any good skills. What do you mean? You know, like nunchaku sills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills. Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills.
Eat the food you fat lard
Napoleon give me some of your tots.
This is pretty much the worst video ever made. Napoleon, like anyone can even know that.
I see your drinking 1%. Is that because you think your fat? Because your not. You could be drinking whole if you wanted to
Took me, like, 3 hours to finish the shading on your upper lip.
I like your sleeves. They're really big.

2. The new Willy Wonka. Pretty much creeps me out. The more I watch it the more it grows on me. My favorite line in that movie is "Everything in here is edible. I'm edible but that would be cannibalism and that is frowned upon in most countries.

3. Chronicles of Narnia. Pretty much the best movie ever. I can watch this movie all the time. I pick up something new every time. Edmund is my favorite. I know he isn't for most. I see him as troubled young man who feels like he is left out and everything he does is wrong. I am very drawn to him.

4. Cinderella Story. Will it ever end?!?

Well - we are even w/o movies here...but, Brock can't WAIT for our "phassst" to be "ober" so he can watch his Charlie & the Chocolate Factory - again - for the 100th time...

I can relate.

Libby,

You can consider this a warning. Any further comments like that will result in a banning, lashing, excommunication, fine, time out, talkin' to, intervention, and anything I can't think of right now.

Yes, it was the slanderous speech about the beloved Cubbies.

I thought you could "hold your own in a debate" and that you didn't shy away from it! Just delete my comment without open debate! I dunno!! :)

Oh, my bad. I once again forgot to add that "This is a joke" tag. Since you didn't give me permission to delete the comment I thought I should.

And besides, I thought handling it this way was WAY funnier than to debate you on the subject. This way I can say I am right and you are wrong. Na na na na na!

~~~~~Did you not see my sign?~~~~~~
Well, I am all about the Chronicles of Narnia and did enjoy The Cinderrella Man, except the night I returned from Galesburg and my wife was watching it with her parents, the TV was so loud the neighbors could hear it and Julie was busy telling them everything that was happening, except for the times when he Dad was asking...I went to my room and only came out at the end when he won the fight. Charlie was too eerie for me, I think Johnny Depp was having a metro moment...Have you seen Million Dollar Baby? Couple of bad words, but an awesome movie, I watched it twice in a row on my way back from London. Go Cubs!
Napolean Dynamite keeps being re run on the cable television here in Egypt....and I guess I don't fall in either category that you listed...love it or hate it....I'm sort of "in awe" when I watch it. Can't decide which side of the fence to watch from. But I gotta say....I loved the dance scene at the end......it was just soooo.....weird. I also loved that quote from Willy Wonka about the cannibalism...first time I saw it...I laughed out loud for that.......Chronicles is my kids favourite...they even cried....I don't know...I suppose I am too old to enjoy that sort of movie anymore.....(34)......but I loved the book when I read it as a kid....the movie is really well done. And the Cinderella....is that the one with Drew Barrymore? Every time it comes on cable I end up missing it....darn! Loved your BLOG!
Safa thanks for stopping by my blog. The Cinderella movie I was talking about is the one with Hillary Duff. I love the dance scene at the end of Napoleon Dynamite. My daughter is dancing to that song in her dance recital. Her instructor hates that movie and said there will no moves used from it. Ha!
