Edited : My newest addiction
I have edited this post. The content is no longer valid. However, due to the comment exchange I am leaving the post only displaying this message. This is done in order to keep the comments as they are. I don't want to be accused of not being able to handle myself in an argument. I do not tuck my tail and run off. Even though I was so graciously allowed to delete comments, I decided after agonizing with much pain staking consideration to leave them.

It's on my daily routine now :) However, I know nothing about chess...so I'll have to wait for the next quesiton.
You have to understand... I LIVE with this boy and for the past 8 or 9 years we have gone through this "useless information" stuff. I am THRILLED he has come up with this blog, because he is giving my brain a rest! I probably named this blog because I just told him 2 weeks ago that if he would put one-third of the energy into his homework that he does into gathering and retaining this "useless information" that we would never have another grade problem from him.
I love that boy dearly, but he sure can make my head spin!
I totally understand what you are saying. It is nice that is written down on a blog in a "game" format. That way it does not become extreme mind numbing torture.
One of the math teachers gave Sudoku (sp?) problems as an assignment today. The kids went to the internet and plugged in the numbers and got the answers. I told them they were cheating. I asked the math teacher. He said I could tell them it was cheating but told me they actually could use the internet. You should have seen their faces. I bet they worry all weekend that they will be in trouble on Monday.
That is too funny and a little evil. Come on kids it isn't that hard! Try using your little brain power God gave you.
I am a very play it by the book kind of person. I know I'd get busted for something.
I am leaving a response here because I don't feel that defending my positing on Libby's site would be fair, since you are the one who made the comment.
Ya, I always find it is more appropriate to fight your battle away from the original point of contact. Give me a break.
Spam in blogs (also called simply blog spam or comment spam) is a form of spamdexing.
It is done by automatically posting random comments, promoting commercial services, to blogs, wikis, guestbooks, or other publicly-accessible online discussion boards. Any web application that accepts and displays hyperlinks submitted by visitors may be a target.
Ok, so technically this isn't exactly what you do because you do not hyperlink you urls that you throw up on your worthless comments. I still maintain my stance that you bring absolutely no value in your comments. All you do toss in a line or two so you can add "interest" to your clients websites.
Let's get off the "this is a bother" horse. PLEASE! I don't buy the it takes up all my time crap. Once again, if it was such a burden to carry, you wouldn't do it!
If you think that is advertising, then by all means, pay me $100, and I will refuse the payment.
Now there is a new approach. Yes, I would love to pay you for spamming my blog. Aren't you a noble one for refusing payment for the unwanted spam ad you post. You are such a gracious intruder, I mean guest.
If you want to delete this post, by all means.
I didn't realize I couldn't delete a comment from my own blog without the written consent of an unwanted solicitor. What a wonderful ending number for your finale. When in doubt, reach for the victim card. It works every time.
